Mainz v West Ham in Tyrol
My Mrs is in Austria this week with her grandson visiting her mum, she's Austrian and lives in Innsbruck.

The game Tuesday is 20km away so I just asked her if she fancied going.

Suffice to say the whole Austrian family she is visiting want to go to see Arnie, cult hero out there.

So I just bought tickets online and she will pick them up on the day

Her grandson is Arsenal but is open to switching !....Good work

That's all !

Re: Mainz v West Ham in Tyrol
Was at the game yesterday and thought that it was more of who will not make the first team than anything else.

For me, Snodgrass, Antonio, Zabaleta did themselves no favours whatsoever as their touch and control was found wanting and not up to the tempo that the rest of the team displayed. They may have set up chances but they looked a level below the rest of the team, especially when Snodgrass and Antonio were on their respective wrong wings in the first 22 minutes.

Cullen and Martinez are not good enough, it was Martinez who headed the ball away aimlessly that led to their goal. Cullen was panicked and when he, Obiang and Rice played together we lost all shape in the centre of the park.

Diop and Balbuena need time together as they are getting dragged all around the place and not marking the players and space between them.

On a plus, the fitness levels look good, we kept the ball well and played some spells in short sharp tight spaces really well.

Looking forward to friday, I feel that we may see a different approach and team and decisions on certain players being made available to move on.

Re: Mainz v West Ham in Tyrol
The only player that was poor was Cullen, didn't do himself any favours when he came on yesterday, gave the ball away nearly every time he touched it and the last one nearly cost us a goal if not for a last ditch tackle from Balbuena.

Any Old Iron, I reckon I'd back Pellegrini's judgment over one of the thickest posters on WHO. I suspect most other people would be the same.

Glad Snodgrass is showing his worth…. I said a few years back when we got beaten by Hull that we should go all out and get Snodgrass and Maguire in … nothing has changed my mind… he’s more than a decent player…

Re: Mainz v West Ham in Tyrol
The only thing that Snodgrass is proving in these games is that he's just as crap as he was before we loaned him out. Fuck knows why he's being given so much game time. Perhaps Senor Pelligrini isn't quite as infallible as most of the muppets on here seem to think.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Snodgrass wanted to prove a point, especially after being slagged off by Sullivan and Brady.

Mark Noble, I salute you

Apparently at the end of the shootout the players all walked off...apart from Noble

He came over and spoke to the fans had selfies and signed autographs

Top top guy

Unfortunately for Snodgrass, FC he came in as Payet’s replacement, when truth be told, there probably wasn’t a player on the planet who would have come to us and filled his boots. He deserves another crack at this league.

So we beat Germans on penalties?

Must be our season

Once we buy a couple of decent midfielders
